Introduction
ANDREA KALMÁR
The 5 years I spent living in different countries of Asia have been a defining period of my life. Besides just traveling and existing there I discovered spirituality and immersed myself mainly in Buddhist Vipassana meditation and Tantra Yoga. Then I also spent a few months with Amma (the „embracing mother”) in her infinite space of loving energy.
In 2009, in Kathmandu (Nepal), I was introduced to the world of Tibetan singingbowls and experienced their effectiveness in stress release and inner development. Since then I’ve been bringing their soothing, uplifting sounds to more and more people.
So that through the sounds I open a path to themselves.
Since 2009, after returning from my world travels, I have been teaching the use of singing bowls for individual and group sound baths. My work is based on the Nepalese fundamentals, but complemented by my practical experiences gained in the meantime. So the continuous development – that I love most about this kind of work- appears in it.
As my own experiential development is important to me, I have also immersed myself in some Western self-awareness techniques over the years. As group methods, psychodrama, bodywork and family constellation have become the most important to me, and as individual ones, Access Bars and the intuitive touch. The most recent turning point in my life came at the end of 2019 when I got invited to be a soundhealer in the shrine of Grabensia, where the world”s largest singing bowl stays. I can’t imagine a greater honor and experience as a sound bowler.
Here, my years in the temples of Asia and the years since then as a soundhealer can come together.
In my worldview and methods, I combine the East with the West, and spirituality with the everyday truth of the body and emotions. Because it is important for me to ensure balanced spiritual development because I had experiences in a period of „spiritual crisis”. Thus, in addition to sound healing, I use touch, free movement and meditative techniques in individual settings.
My view about human consciousness and development is now mainly based on Ken Wilber’s integral approach, and I consider spirituality an integral part of my everyday life.
The basis of my work is the intuition with which I tune in to the participants and reflect the energy of the shared space through my speech, movement and sounds. Because my mission is to help people to gradually discover their hidden qualities and fulfill themselves.
If you feel called, I'm waiting for you with love!
